The people who really need to know about bullying in school are those who are affected by it the most. That includes students, parents, teachers, adults who are still suffering from the consequences of being bullied at school and everybody whose job involves trying to help stop bullying.

All schools in Scotland have sent a free handbook by the Anti-Bullying Network. The resource aims to help schools develop peer support schemes which the

Many family members who contact the Anti-Bullying Network are worried about a young person who is being bullied or who has been accused of bullying others. Our Advice has been written to help them. Remember that the Infoline is available to everyone. We welcome calls from parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, friends and anyone else who wants more information about how schools and communities can tackle bullying.

We have also provided Information for families who want to help their local school to develop new ways to prevent bullying and to provide a better learning environment for all pupils

                      SCHOOL STAFF

The information here is for all those who work in schools, including school managers and support staff as well as teachers.

All members of a school community should be involved in the development of an anti-bullying policy in an appropriate way.
